It looks like this development idea for Slidell has a chance for approval. It lies near the Fremaux exit, east of I-10. It would be within the imminent federal protection levee that could realize initial construction in 2027. The biggest question from my standpoint is can the subdivision go up in this relatively low-lying land without endangering existing properties for flood damage?:
